Bris/ Brit Milah

A Bris, also known as a Brit Milah, is a Jewish ceremony in which a baby boy is circumcised. Circumcision dates back to the Book of Genesis, when G-d commands Abraham to circumcise himself and his offspring as a sign of the covenant between Jews and G-d. A mohel, trained both on the Jewish laws concerning circumcision and modern surgical hygiene, typically performs the Bris on the baby’s eighth day of life.

Jewish-Outreach provides a mohel for a Bris.
